三菱商事と近畿車輛がドーハメトロ向け追加車両を受注

東京, 2018年10月12日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱商事株式会社（社長：垣内威彦）と近畿車輛株式会社（社長：岡根修司）は、カタール国カタールレール公社から、ドーハメトロ向け車両105両を受注しました。

三菱重工業、三菱商事、近畿車輛、日立製作所、タレス（仏）によるコンソーシアムは2015年2月*にドーハメトロプロジェクトの鉄道システムを受注しており、今回の受注は、現在納入中の既契約225両に続く追加車両となります。カタールレール公社は、ドーハメトロプロジェクトの延伸を計画しており、今回受注した105両は延伸に伴う必要車両数の増加に充当するものです。同105両は2020年から納入を開始し、2021年までに全車両を納入します。

カタールは同国の将来的な絵姿を描くマスタープラン「カタールナショナルビジョン2030」において公共交通機関の整備を掲げております。ドーハメトロは同マスタープランの根幹となるプロジェクトとなります。また、ドーハメトロは2022年にカタールにて開催予定のサッカーW杯に向けて公共交通機関として期待されています。

三菱商事と近畿車輛は、エジプトでは50年以上にわたり約1600両の車両、ドバイでは約400両の車両を納入してきております。引き続き世界の鉄道市場に高品質な日本の車両を納入するべく取り組んで参ります。
