昭和電工、横浜市が公募する研究開発拠点施設整備・運営等事業の優先交渉権を取得

東京, 2018年10月29日 - (JCN Newswire) - 昭和電工株式会社（社長：森川宏平）は、本日、横浜市が公募した「京浜臨海部守屋・恵比須地区研究開発拠点施設整備・運営等事業（以下、「本事業」）」の優先交渉権者に選定されましたのでお知らせいたします。

当社は、昭和8年（1933年）に日本アルミナ工業所が操業を開始して以降、セラミックス事業の基幹拠点として、横浜市で長年事業運営を行ってきました。現在はリチウムイオン電池などの先端電池材料や放熱材の開発、エンジニアリング機能など、多岐にわたる事業を同市内にて展開しています。

今回公募があった守屋・恵比須地区（横浜市神奈川区）は、JR新子安駅・京急新子安駅から徒歩圏内かつ高速インターチェンジからも至近の場所であり、国内のみならず海外からのアクセスも良好なエリアです。当社は、本事業において、同地区の立地特性を活かし、当社グループのグローバルでの研究開発拠点を開設し、あわせて国内外の多様な人材が集う融合の場を構築する計画です。

なお、本事業の詳細内容については、別途改めて公表する予定です。
