エーザイ、中国の新蘇州工場が本格稼働

中国国内での自社生産機能を強化

東京, 2018年11月08日 - (JCN Newswire) - エーザイ株式会社（本社：東京都、代表執行役 CEO：内藤晴夫）は、このたび、中国子会社である衛材（中国）薬業有限公司（Eisai China Inc.）が、蘇州工業園区内の新蘇州工場の本格稼働に伴い、オープニングセレモニーを開催しましたのでお知らせします。

当社は、中国における患者様貢献拡大に向けた製品のさらなる安定供給体制の強化および生産効率の向上を企図し、旧蘇州工場（固体剤生産工場、2018 年 11 月末閉鎖予定）の 5 倍以上の約 134,000 m2の敷地面積を擁する新たな工場用地にて、エーザイグループとして最大の生産能力を有する工場として新蘇州工場の整備を進めています。新蘇州工場では固体剤製造において、旧蘇州工場の約 2 倍の生産能力（製剤約 30 億錠・包装約 50 億錠／年）を有し、中国国内向けの「メチコバール(R)」、「アリセプト(R)」、「パリエット(R)」などの固体剤の製剤、包装を行います。また、2014 年11 月に先行して竣工した注射剤生産棟（生産能力 6,000 万本／年）では、「メチコバール」注射剤の生産を行っています。

当社における中国事業は、日本・米国に次ぐ規模を有する中核事業であり、今回の新蘇州工場の本格稼働を機に、中国国内での自社生産機能の強化および高品質な医薬品の安定供給体制の拡充をはかり、中国市場における患者様とそのご家族のベネフィット向上に貢献してまいります。
