MHIヴェスタス、世界最大出力の洋上風力発電設備V164-9.5MWを23基受注

ベルギー北海沖合Northwester 2ウィンドファーム向けに

東京, 2018年11月12日 - (JCN Newswire) - MHIヴェスタス（MHI Vestas Offshore Wind A/S）（注）は、ベルギーの風力発電事業者であるパークウィンド社（Parkwind NV）が進める出力21万9,000kWのノースウェスター2（Northwester 2）ウィンドファーム・プロジェクト向けに、世界最大出力となる9,500kWの洋上風力発電設備V164-9.5MWを23基受注、併せて15年間の長期保守サービス契約も締結しました。同プロジェクトは2020年の完成を目指しており、2019年後半の据付開始を予定しています。

ノースウェスター2ウィンドファームは、ベルギーの沖合約50kmの北海洋上で、本年内の着工に向け開発が進んでいるものです。20万世帯分を超える電力を供給する計画で、パークウィンド社は、本プロジェクトの建設段階では1,000人以上の雇用と、運用およびメンテナンスのために約100人の雇用が生まれると推定しています。

ベルギー政府は、2025年までに最大4GW（400万kW）の洋上風力発電を導入する計画を打ち出しています。MHIヴェスタスの納入済みおよび今後納入予定の発電設備は、すでに8GW（800万kW）を超えており、今回の受注を弾みとして、ベルギー向けも含めて一層の受注拡大をはかることにより、再生可能エネルギーの普及を支援して環境負荷低減に貢献していきます。
