三菱商事、インドネシアで加工油脂新工場建設を決定

インドネシアの旺盛な需要増に対応

東京, 2019年01月08日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱商事株式会社（本社：東京都千代田区、代表取締役社長：垣内威彦）は、PT. Kaneka Foods Indonesia（本社：インドネシア・カラワン県、社長：入江潤一、株式会社カネカとの合弁会社、以下、KFI）で総額約50億円規模の加工油脂製品の新工場を建設することを決定しました。市場拡大が続くインドネシア共和国（以下、インドネシア）での製菓・製パン素材の事業拡大を目的として、フィリング製品及びマーガリンなどを中心に生産能力を約5倍の15,000トン／年に引き上げます。新工場建設は昨年12月に着工し、2020年春の稼動を予定しています。

インドネシア及びアジア地域は人口増加とそれに伴う中間・高所得層の増加を背景として、製菓・製パン市場は拡大し、特にインドネシアはパン消費量が平均5%／年増加するなど日本のパン食文化が広まっています。KFIは、2013年の設立以来、現地嗜好にあった製品を開発するとともに、今までにない食感や製法でやわらかいパンを提案することで、事業を拡大してきました。

今後は、マーガリンなどの新製品の開発、拡販や、パンや菓子などの商品提案、顧客の製造サポートなど、顧客ニーズに合わせたソリューション提供を強化することで、事業展開を加速させます。またアジア市場へ日本の美味しいパン・菓子文化を広め、早期に売上金額100億円を目指します。
