日立が交通部台湾鉄路管理局より都市間特急車両600両を受注
東京, 2019年01月15日 - (JCN Newswire) - 株式会社日立製作所の現地グループ会社である台湾日立アジアパシフィック社(以下、日立)は、鉄道事業者である交通部台湾鉄路管理局(Taiwan Railways Administration/以下、TRA)、およびその調達代行機関である台湾銀行(Bank of Taiwan)より、都市間特急車両600両(12両×50編成)を約443億台湾ドル(約1,600億円)で受注し、1月15日に契約を締結しました。
TRAは、「全体調達および車両交換の計画(2015～2024年)*」を定め、鉄道の輸送力向上、老朽車両の更新のため、新造車両の大型調達・増備を進めています。今回の契約はこの計画に基づくものであり、本契約にて日立が供給する車両は、2021年以降に納入され、台湾全土を走行する都市間特急として、順次営業運転に投入される予定です。
日立は、鉄道分野におけるソリューションプロバイダーとして、都市鉄道から高速鉄道に至るまでさまざまな鉄道ソリューションを国内外に提供してきました。台湾でも長年にわたり、車両・変電設備などを納入しており、特に、台湾初の振子式特急電車であるTEMU1000形車両(通称「太魯閣(タロコ)号」)は、2007年5月の営業運転開始以来、その運行実績・アフターサービスなどで高い評価を受けています。
日立は今後も、品質および信頼性の高い鉄道車両をはじめとしたソリューションを提供することにより、台湾の鉄道インフラのさらなる発展に寄与するとともに、鉄道システムのグローバル展開を加速していきます。
