ソニー、CDPが主催する気候変動の調査において最高評価を4年連続獲得

東京, 2019年01月22日 - (JCN Newswire) - ソニー株式会社（以下、ソニー）は、CDPの気候変動に関する調査において、製品の省電力化や温室効果ガス排出削減活動、再生可能エネルギーの導入などで特に優れた活動を行っている企業として最高評価である「Aリスト」企業※1に4年連続で選定されました。

ソニーグループは、持続可能な社会の実現を目指し、2050年までに自社の事業活動および製品のライフサイクルを通して「環境負荷ゼロ」を達成することを長期的ビジョンとして掲げています。この目標達成に向けて、現在は2016年度から2020年度までの環境中期目標「Green Management（グリーンマネジメント）2020」の施策に取り組んでいます。2017年度の気候変動に関する主な取り組みの実績は、以下の通りです。

- 製品1台あたりの年間消費電力量約50％削減（目標値：平均30%削減（2013年度比））
- 事業所からの温室効果ガス排出量を総量で約12％削減（目標値：5％削減（2015年度比））
- 再生可能エネルギーの活用によるCO2削減貢献量約15.4万トン
（2016-2017年度の累計。目標値：2020年度までの累計でCO2削減貢献量30万トン）

また、2018年9月には、環境負荷ゼロに向けて、「RE100」※2に加盟し、2040年までに自社の事業活動で使用する電力を100％再生可能エネルギーにすることを目指しています。

ソニーは今後も「Green Management 2020」目標達成、及び長期的な「環境負荷ゼロ」の実現に向けて、バリューチェーン全体での環境負荷低減活動や環境に配慮した製品・サービスの創出に取り組み、持続可能なより良い社会の実現に向けた事業活動を推進してまいります。
