日本企業で最上位にランク
東京, 2019年01月23日 - (JCN Newswire) - エーザイ株式会社（本社：東京都、代表執行役CEO：内藤晴夫）は、このたび、カナダの出版社コーポレートナイツ社が選定する「2019年 世界で最も持続可能な100社」（2019 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World、以下「Global 100」）に選出されましたのでお知らせします。当社は、今回が4回目の選出となります。日本企業からは当社を含む8社が選出され、当社は日本企業で最上位の73位にランクされました。
「Global 100」は、世界の主要企業約7,500社を対象に、ESG（環境、社会、ガバナンス）等に関する取り組みから持続可能性を評価し、世界の上位100社を選出するもので、2005年から世界経済フォーラム（ダボス会議）に合わせて毎年発表されています。具体的な評価指標としては、財務状況、健全な収益、サプライヤー評価、従業員マネジメントや資源有効活用といった21項目が設定され、各企業の財務情報や統合報告書などの開示情報に基づいて評価されます。
