三菱電機、「レーダーによる津波多波面検出技術」を開発
連続して到来する津波の波面検知・水位推定により、沿岸地域の防災・減災に貢献
東京, 2019年01月25日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱電機株式会社は、従来の「レーダーによる津波監視支援技術※1」を高度化し、海表面の流速のレーダー観測により、連続して到来する津波の波面検知と、従来より正確な水位推定を実現する「レーダーによる津波多波面検出技術」を開発しました。この技術により、津波の規模を早期※2かつより正確に把握し、迅速な避難計画の策定を支援し、沿岸地域の防災・減災に貢献します。今後は2025年の実用化を目指し、大学機関と連携し開発を推進します。
開発の特長
1. 海表面の流速から、連続して到来する津波の進行方向（波面）を検出
- 遠方の海表面の流速をレーダーで観測し、定常流※3を除去した津波の成分を抽出
- 流速が大きい領域が波面として到来する津波の性質に注目し、複数の波面候補から連続して到来する津波の進行方向を検出
- 津波の誤検出率を0.1％以下まで低減し、より正確な津波情報を提供
2. 津波の進行方向に基づく水位推定により、津波の規模をより正確に把握
- 津波を波面で捉えることにより、津波の進行方向を考慮した津波の方程式（浅水長波理論※4）を水位測定に適用
- 従来は1m以上あった水位推定誤差を50cm以内に抑え※5、より正確な避難計画の策定を支援
