三菱商事、豪州クイーンズランド州BMA原料炭事業グレゴリー・クライナム炭鉱の売却完了

東京, 2019年03月27日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱商事株式会社（本社：東京都千代田区、以下、当社）は、2018 年5 月30 日付プレスリリースの通り、100％子会社の三菱デベロップメント社（Mitsubishi Development Pty Ltd、本社：豪州ブリスベン）が50％の権益を保有するBMAのグレゴリー・クライナム炭鉱（現在操業停止中）を双日株式会社（本社：東京都千代田区、以下、双日）に売却する合意をしておりましたが、2019 年3 月27 日付けにて売却を完了しましたので、お知らせ致します。

残りの権益を保有するBHP社(本社：豪州メルボルン)も共同で売却を完了しております。

当社は、積極的に資産を入替え、ポートフォリオの質の向上を図っていくことを経営方針のひとつに掲げております。今回の売却はその一環として実行したものです。
資産の入替えに加え、コスト削減や生産性向上の為の経営努力を継続していくことで、保有資産の更なる競争力強化を推進して参ります。
尚、本件による売却益については、2018 年度通期業績見通しに織り込んでおります。
