昭和電工、国内アルミニウム缶事業の生産ライン再編を実施

東京, 2019年05月28日 - (JCN Newswire) - 昭和電工株式会社（社長：森川宏平）の連結子会社である昭和アルミニウム缶株式会社（社長：田代泰、東京都品川区）は、国内アルミニウム缶事業の市場変化に適合するため、小山工場・彦根工場の生産ラインの一部停止を決定しました。

国内のアルミニウム缶市場は、ビール系飲料の需要減少が続いているものの、ビール系以外のアルコール飲料の需要が増加していることによりアルコール飲料用缶の需要は堅調に推移していますが、非アルコール飲料用缶は、ペットボトルへの置き換えにより需要が大幅に減少し、今後も厳しい事業環境が続くことが見込まれています。

昭和アルミニウム缶は、国内に3拠点（小山、彦根、大牟田）の製缶設備を有して事業を展開していますが、こうした国内市場の変化に対応するため、2020年6月を目途に、主に非アルコール飲料用缶を生産しているラインを停止し、生産能力を現状の6割程度に適正化することにいたしました。

今後は、国内アルミニウム缶事業については堅調なアルコール飲料用缶に集中して収益基盤を安定化するとともに、少量多品種生産に適した飲料缶の印刷技術の開発や、新用途の開拓、販売価格の地金連動フォーミュラ化を進めます。

当社グループは、個性派企業（収益と安定性を高レベルで維持できる個性派事業の連合体）の実現をVision（目指す姿）とし、2025年には当社事業の半数以上を個性派事業とすることを目指しております。アルミ缶事業についても、国内収益性の向上と海外拠点の拡充・発展により、個性派事業へと進化を図ります。
