NEC、インドのケララ州警察に自動指紋認証システムを提供

東京, 2019年06月18日 - (JCN Newswire) - NECのインド現地法人であるNEC Technologies India Private Limited(本社：インド共和国・ニューデリー)は、インド先進コンピューティング開発センター(以下C-DAC、注1)から、自動指紋認証システム(AFIS)を受注し、同国のケララ州警察に提供します。今回提供する指紋認証システムは、NECの生体認証「Bio-IDiom」(注2)の中核技術であり、世界No.1(注3)の認証精度を誇る指紋認証技術を活用しています。

本システムは、ケララ州警察が採取した指紋と犯罪捜査用の指紋の中央データベースとを照合するために使用されます。警察署や地区警察本部を含む州全域の600以上の警察施設が、本システムにアクセスすることが可能になります。

本システムは、従来より迅速かつ正確な指紋照合を提供することにより、州警察の効率的な捜査を支援するものです。このシステムにより、犯罪現場で採取された断片的な指紋の質を向上させ、中央データベースとの照合を可能にします。
