デンソー、シアトルにオープンイノベーション拠点を開設

モビリティサービス分野での研究開発を加速

愛知, 2019年07月17日 - (JCN Newswire) - 株式会社デンソー(本社:愛知県刈谷市、社長:有馬浩二)は、本日、新たなサテライトR&D拠点として米国に「シアトル・イノベーション・ラボ」を開設しました。本拠点において、オープンイノベーションを強化し、モビリティサービスの研究開発を加速させていきます。

デンソーは、多様な車両データを収集・解析するための車載コンピューター開発や、車両データをクラウドコンピューターと通信で連携させる技術を培ってきました。今回、拠点を新設したシアトルには、IT系企業や大学が多く集結しており、デンソーが保有する車両向け技術と先進的なIT技術の融合を進めていきます。

これまでもデンソーは、米国、イスラエル、カナダ、フィンランドの４カ国にサテライトR&D拠点を広げ、大学、研究機関、スタートアップ企業とのオープンイノベーション活動を進めてきました。デンソーは、世界のイノベーションの震源地にR&D機能を配置することで、グローバルに地域特性を生かした研究開発を加速させ、次世代のモビリティ社会の実現に貢献します。
