NEC発の創薬バイオベンチャー サイトリミック、CYT001臨床開発のための13億円の資金調達完了
東京, 2019年08月09日 - (JCN Newswire) - サイトリミック株式会社が開発を進めているがんペプチドワクチンCYT001を用いた切除不能進行肝細胞癌患者を対象とした第I相医師主導治験(CRESCENT1、治験責任者:千葉大学医学部付属病院消化器内科 加藤直也教授、治験薬提供者:サイトリミック株式会社)が実施可能となり、これに伴い、今般、臨床でのPOC(Proof of Concept)確立のために必要な資金13億円の調達を完了致しました。会社設立からの累積の調達資金は23億円となりました。
出資者の構成は会社設立時と変わらず、NEC、NECキャピタルソリューション株式会社、株式会社ファストトラックイニシアティブ、SMBCベンチャーキャピタル株式会社です。
近年、がん免疫治療、とりわけ抗PD-(L)1阻害薬等の免疫チェックポイント阻害剤(ICI)の実用化・適用拡大が進んでいますが、ICI単独で治療効果が得られる患者は多くの癌種で3割以下と限られており、併用による治療効果の上乗せの研究が活発に進められています。がんワクチンは、ICI単独では効果が期待できないいわゆる「Coldな腫瘍をHotにする」併用薬として期待されております。
サイトリミックのがんペプチドワクチンCYT001は、NECのAI技術を用いて発見された反応性の高い共通がん抗原ペプチドと、独自の組合せアジュバント(Poly ICLC(Hiltonol)、LAG-3Ig(Eftilagimod alpha又はIMP321)の組合せによって「Coldな腫瘍をHotにする」高い効果を目指したものであり、第I相臨床試験に続き、抗PD-(L)1阻害薬との併用試験により、その効果について臨床でPOCを確立することを目指しております。今回の資金調達により引き続きCYT001の実用化に向けて研究開発を精力的に進めて参ります。
