日立がタイ国鉄バンコクレッドライン向け新型鉄道車両の出荷を開始

東京, 2019年09月25日 - (JCN Newswire) - 株式会社日立製作所(執行役社長兼CEO:東原敏昭／以下、日立)は、2016年3月30日に三菱重工業株式会社、住友商事株式会社と共同でタイ国鉄(SRT: State Railway of Thailand)より受注したバンコクレッドラインプロジェクト向けの鉄道車両の第1編成(6両)と第2編成(4両)を完成させ、本日、笠戸事業所(山口県下松市)より出荷を開始しました。今後、来年6月までに全25編成(130両)を出荷する予定です。

近年、タイでは自動車の利用増加による道路渋滞や大気汚染が深刻な問題になっていることから、低炭素かつ大規模輸送を実現する交通インフラの構築が求められています。バンコクレッドラインプロジェクトは、タイ政府が進める大規模事業計画の一つで、バンコク市中心部のBang Sue(バンスー)駅を起点とし、北に26.4キロメートル、西へ14.6キロメートルにわたる新しい鉄道路線です。北線では日本政府からタイ政府へ供与される円借款を利用し、西線ではタイ政府自己資金にて建設が進んでいます。

出荷された車両は今年10月にタイに到着後、2020年1月より走行試験を開始する予定です。日立は、安全で高い信頼性を持つ低炭素の大規模交通・輸送システムを実現する鉄道車両を提供することで、タイの持続的な成長に貢献していきます。
