三菱電機、インドに自動車用機器の新工場を建設

インドでの環境規制対応製品の需要拡大に対応

東京, 2019年10月07日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱電機株式会社は、インドにおける自動車機器の製造・販売拠点であるMitsubishi Electric Automotive India Pvt. Ltd（三菱電機オートモーティブ・インド、インドハリアナ州、以下MEAI）の新工場をインドグジャラート州に建設し、インドの環境規制に対応した電動パワーステアリング用モーターコントロールユニット、GMR※1回転センサーおよびEGRバルブ※2の生産体制を拡充します。投資金額は約17億円で、稼働開始は2021年10月を予定しています。

建設の背景と狙い

近年、地球環境保護の観点から、インドでは自動車のCO2の排出量削減に貢献する製品の需要が増加しています。当社は今回、MEAIの本社工場（ハリアナ州）の分工場として、新たにグジャラート州に新工場を建設し、インドの環境規制に対応した自動車用機器の生産体制を拡充します。今後も当社が強みとする燃焼制御やモーター巻き線を利用した製品を開発・生産し、自動車機器事業のさらなる拡大を目指します。
