日本の2019年度安全性評価プログラムJNCAPにおいてLEXUS ES、NX、UXが最高ランクを獲得

東京, 2019年10月23日 - (JCN Newswire) - LEXUSは、ES、NX、UXが自動車の安全性能を試験・評価する2019年度自動車アセスメント（以下、JNCAP）において、ES、NX、UX全車が「予防安全性能評価ASV+++賞」を獲得し、NX、UXが「衝突安全性能評価ファイブスター賞」を獲得したことを発表しました。

JNCAPでは、日本の交通事故の実態と対策の重要度を踏まえ、試験方法及び評価基準をきめ細かく策定し、毎年見直しがなされています。歩行者の死亡事故が夜間に多い日本の実態を踏まえ、予防安全性能評価では、2018年度に街灯のある夜間の歩行者に対応する衝突被害軽減ブレーキ性能試験が導入され、2019年度には街灯の無い夜間の歩行者に対応する衝突被害軽減ブレーキ性能が評価項目に追加されました。

夜間の歩行者認識に対応した最新のLexus Safety System +を備えるES、NX、UXは、2019年度のJNCAP予防安全アセスメントで「予防安全性能評価ASV+++賞」を獲得。またNX、UXは「衝突安全性能評価ファイブスター賞」を獲得するなど高く評価されました。LEXUSは、世界トップレベルの先進安全技術をより早く開発し、より多くのクルマに普及させていくことが重要との考えのもと、予防安全パッケージ「Lexus Safety System + A」や「Lexus Safety System +」の導入をはじめ、交通事故死傷者ゼロを究極の目標とした取り組みを重ねています。
