TOYOTA、ロサンゼルスオートショーでRAV4のプラグインハイブリッド車を世界初披露

クラストップレベルの加速性能。日本は2020年夏に導入予定

豊田, 2019年11月20日 - (JCN Newswire) - TOYOTAは、米国で11月23日（土）から開催のロサンゼルスオートショー※1において、RAV4のプラグインハイブリッド車（PHV）である「RAV4 Prime」（米国車名・米国仕様）を世界初披露します。RAV4のPHVは、米国および日本では2020年夏、欧州では2020年後半の発売を予定しています。

RAV4は、クロスオーバーSUVのパイオニアとして1994年に発売して以来、トヨタのグローバルコアモデルのひとつとして、米国で累計約397万台、グローバルでは累計約974万台（2019年10月末時点）を販売しています。5代目となる新型RAV4は、米国では2018年末から、日本では2019年4月から発売しています。

RAV4 Primeは、RAV4の基本性能をベースに、さらなる「Fun to Drive」を追求して開発したRAV4の新しいモデルです。パワートレーンには新開発のプラグインハイブリッドシステムを採用し、米国でクラストップレベルの加速性能を始めとするパワフルな走行を可能としています。電動車ならではの運転の楽しさに加えて、EV航続距離をはじめとする優れた環境性能も両立させています。
