日本郵便とHonda、郵便配達業務用電動二輪車の導入について

東京, 2020年01月17日 - (JCN Newswire) - 日本郵便株式会社(東京都千代田区、代表取締役社長　衣川和秀／以下「日本郵便」)と本田技研工業株式会社(東京都港区、代表取締役社長八郷隆弘／以下「Honda」)は、郵便配達業務で使用する電動二輪車として、Honda製電動二輪車「BENLY e:（ベンリィイー）」の導入に合意しました。

本件は、2017年3月23日に日本郵便とHondaが協業に関して締結した覚書に基づき、郵便配達業務において、現行の二輪車に替わる電動車両を用いた社会インフラ整備に向け、検討を続けてきたものです。

これにより、日本郵便では以下のとおり配備を行うとともに、2020年1月17日から郵便配達業務での電動二輪車の使用を開始します。

1. 目的
地球環境に配慮した企業活動の一環として、持続可能な郵便・物流事業を推進するために導入します。

2. 導入スケジュール（予定）
2019年度中　200台
2020年度中　業務上の実用性を見て検討（2,000台程度を検討）

3. 配備エリア
2020年1月より、新宿・日本橋・渋谷・上野郵便局の4局から使用を開始します。東京都をはじめとした首都圏の近距離配達エリアに配備するとともに、一部の地方主要都市の郵便局にも配備します。

4. その他
本電動二輪車の導入により、2020年度末には東京都内における郵便配達業務用二輪車の2割が電動二輪車となる予定です。

5. 車両特徴・外観
- スクータータイプを採用
- バッテリーは着脱式
- チューブレスタイヤを使用
