トヨタと豊田自動織機、ハイブリッド車用の新型電池を共同開発

豊田, 2020年02月20日 - (JCN Newswire) - トヨタ自動車株式会社（以下、トヨタ）と株式会社豊田自動織機（以下、豊田自動織機）は、急速な拡大が予想されるハイブリッド車（HV）の開発・市場投入に対応するために、HV用の新型電池を共同で開発し、トヨタのHVへの搭載に向け、今後、車種や電池の仕様・性能等について検討を進めていきます。

また、新型電池の製造は、増大するトヨタのHVの生産に対応していくため、豊田自動織機の共和工場（愛知県大府市）ならびに東浦工場（愛知県知多郡東浦町）の隣接所有地での生産を予定しており、今後、豊田自動織機はトヨタとともに供給体制の構築・強化に取り組んでまいります。

今後もトヨタと豊田自動織機は、地球温暖化の抑制に向けたCO2排出量削減に、トヨタグループとして貢献するために、電動車の普及を支える技術や商品開発を推進していきます。
