NEC、150GHz帯において、伝送距離100mのリアルタイムデジタルOAMモード多重無線伝送に世界で初めて成功

5GおよびBeyond5Gの通信需要に対応する大容量伝送技術を開発

東京, 2020年03月10日 - (JCN Newswire) - NECは、5GおよびBeyond5G時代の無線通信需要の拡大に向け、大容量固定無線伝送用途として期待されている150GHz帯において、OAM(Orbital Angular Momentum：軌道角運動量)モード多重技術と偏波多重技術(注1)を組み合わせたリアルタイムデジタルOAMモード多重無線伝送技術による100mの伝送に世界で初めて(注2)成功しました。

NECは、これまで、電磁波のOAMを利用したOAMモード多重無線伝送技術の開発を進めており、2018年12月には80GHz帯におけるOAMモード多重技術を用いた40m伝送の実証を行いました(注3)。

今回の実験では、80GHz帯における実証実験と比較し、伝送距離は2.5倍の100mに、伝送容量は偏波多重を加えた16多重化により2倍に、それぞれ拡大しています。

NECは今後、本技術を超小型マイクロ波通信システム「パソリンク」に適用し、5GおよびBeyond5Gの商用化に向けて大容量化が求められるモバイルバックホール回線での利用などを目指します。
