三菱重工、H-IIBロケット最終号機（9号機）のコア機体を出荷

名古屋航空宇宙システム製作所飛島工場から

東京, 2020年03月17日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱重工業株式会社は17日、H-IIBロケットの最終号機となる9号機のコア機体を、名古屋航空宇宙システム製作所飛島工場（愛知県飛島村）から、鹿児島県種子島の種子島宇宙センターに向けて出荷しました。飛島工場は、2009年2月の初号機出荷から11年間にわたり計9機のH-IIBロケットを送り出し、高い品質で成功率100％の打上げを支えてきました。

H-IIBロケットは、H-IIAロケットの技術をベースに、ロケットエンジンの推進力増強や搭載衛星を保護する衛星フェアリングの大型化などで、輸送力の大幅な増強を実現した日本の基幹ロケットです。地上約400kmで有人実験施設として国際協力により運用されている国際宇宙ステーション（ISS）への物資輸送手段である宇宙ステーション補給機「こうのとり」（HTV）の打上げを担ってきました。飛島工場では、組み立て・艤装・機能試験を実施してきました。

三菱重工は今後も、高い宇宙関連技術力・品質の保持とさらなる生産性向上に力を注ぎ、H-IIAロケット打上げ輸送サービスやH3ロケットの開発で貢献していきます。
