三菱商事と中部電力、オランダ総合エネルギー事業会社Eneco社を買収

東京, 2020年03月25日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱商事株式会社（以下「三菱商事」）と中部電力株式会社（以下「中部電力」）は、欧州で総合エネルギー事業を展開するEneco社（以下「Eneco」）の売却入札に共同で参加し、2019年11月に優先交渉権を獲得いたしました。

優先交渉権の獲得以降、買収手続きを進めてまいりましたが、昨日、三菱商事と中部電力が共同で設立したDiamond Chubu Europe B.V.を通じて、100%の株式を約41億ユーロ（約5千億円）で買収いたしました。

Enecoは、再生可能エネルギー（以下「再エネ」）開発を積極的に進めるとともに、小売事業においてデジタル技術を活用した顧客重視のサービスを展開している、先進的な総合エネルギー事業会社です。

三菱商事は、Enecoの再エネに関する技術力・ノウハウを活用し、欧州及び欧州外で再エネ開発を更に加速させ、引続き経済価値、社会価値、環境価値の三価値同時実現に資する取り組みを強化して参ります。

中部電力は、Enecoへ参画し、培ってきた知見をEnecoと融合させ、相互にビジネスモデルを進化させることで、国内外のエネルギー事業におけるシナジー創出を図ります。

再エネの普及に伴う小規模分散電源の増加や、蓄電池・デジタル技術の発展等により、電力事業の在り方が転換期を迎える中、三菱商事と中部電力は、Enecoと双方の知見を活用しながら、人々の生活インフラを支え、低炭素化社会への移行や地球環境保全といった社会課題の解決に貢献することを目指します。
