富士通、国内初 商用のローカル5Gを運用開始
東京, 2020年03月27日 - (JCN Newswire) - 当社は、国内初となる商用のローカル5Gの無線局（基地局、陸上移動局）免許を総務省関東総合通信局（以下、関東総合通信局）から3月27日に取得し、富士通新川崎テクノロジースクエア（所在地：神奈川県川崎市）でのローカル5Gシステムの運用を開始します。
まずは、当社の同拠点内において多地点カメラで収集した高精細映像のデータ伝送にローカル5Gを活用し、AIによる人の様々な動作解析で、不審行動などを早期に検知するセキュリティシステムを実現し、建物内の防犯対策を強化します。また、お客様やパートナー企業とのローカル5Gの実証の場である「FUJITSU コラボレーションラボ」で、業務革新や地域課題の解決に向けたローカル5Gの様々なユースケースを創出し、具現化させるとともに、お客様の現場への導入支援なども行います。
さらに、今後、スマートファクトリーの実現に向けて、当社のネットワーク機器の製造拠点である小山工場（所在地：栃木県小山市）においても、ローカル5Gの免許を取得し、同工場でネットワーク機器の製造を手がける富士通テレコムネットワークス株式会社（本社：栃木県小山市、代表取締役社長：森 哲也）と共同で、ローカル5Gの有用性を検証していきます。
