MHIヴェスタス、アジア太平洋地域で事業拡大を加速
東京, 2020年04月16日 - (JCN Newswire) - MHIヴェスタス（MHI Vestas Offshore Wind A/S）（注1）は、アジア太平洋（AP：Asia Pacific）地域での事業拡大に対応するため、同社の最高戦略責任者（CStO：Chief Strategy Officer）を務めた山田 正人をアジア太平洋地域リージョナルマネジャーに任命しました。
山田APリージョナルマネジャーは、三菱重工とヴェスタスの合弁会社であるMHIヴェスタスの設立に参画し、2014年にMHI ヴェスタスが発足して以来、デンマークを拠点に活躍。今後は、東京オフィスを拠点とします。
同社CoCEO（注2）を務めるジョニー・トムセン(Johnny Thomsen)は、「アジア地域でクリーンな洋上風力発電の可能性が模索され始めている中、MHIヴェスタスはアジア太平洋地域に大きなチャンスを持っていると確信しています。山田APリージョナルマネジャーが同地域で当社の発展をリードし、日本での存在感を高めてくれることを期待します」と述べています。
アジア太平洋地域では、MHIヴェスタスの洋上風力発電設備が採用されたプロジェクトが増えており、今後も、日本、台湾、ベトナムを中心としたこの地域における同社の継続的な発展に貢献してまいります。
