トヨタグループ、医療用フェイスシールドの生産を本格化

トヨタ自動車では生産能力を月産4万個レベルまで拡大

豊田, 2020年04月28日 - (JCN Newswire) - トヨタ自動車ならびにトヨタグループ各社は、医療用フェイスシールドの生産に本格的に取り組んでおり、トヨタ自動車では、当初500～600個／週であった生産能力を大幅に引き上げ、4月27日よりこれまでの約20倍となる月産4万個（約2,000個／日）レベルでの生産を開始いたしました。さらに、今後月産約7万個（約3,600個／日）レベルまで生産を拡大する予定です。

また、グループ会社においても同様に生産に着手しており、トヨタ自動車東日本では、自社生産した医療用フェイスシールドを4月20日に宮城県に3,000個を提供したほか、豊田合成、ダイハツ工業＊1、日野自動車においても試作を開始しており、ダイハツ工業、日野自動車は近隣の医療機関への提供を行っています。加えて豊田自動織機においても、4月29日から月産1万個（約500個／日）の生産を予定しているほか、トヨタ車体においても5月中旬の生産開始に向けて検討を進めています。

トヨタグループでは、今回の新型コロナウイルス感染症の診断や治療に日夜ご尽力されている医療現場を支援する取り組みを、「ココロハコブプロジェクト」＊2の一環として位置づけ、医療用フェイスシールドの生産に取り組んでおり、今後、グループ各社の事業所が所在する地元医療機関や自治体への提供を優先的に取り組んでまいります。
