ソニー、新型コロナウイルス感染症治療に従事する医療関係者への支援施策について

東京, 2020年05月08日 - (JCN Newswire) - ソニーは、新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）の治療に従事している国内の医療関係者の皆様への支援施策として、医療用フェイスシールドの製造と無償提供および人工呼吸器の生産支援を開始することを決定しました。

医療用フェイスシールドの製造および寄贈
メディカル部門で手掛けている医療用3Dモニター用アイシールドをフレーム部に流用し、医療用フェイスシールドの製造を開始しました。医療機関等の応募受付や本品の配送において、エムスリー株式会社と連携します。同社の運営する医療従事者向けのウェブサイトにて本日より日本全国の医療機関等からの応募を募り、5月中旬以降、週に約5,000セット（フレーム約5,000本、シールド約5万枚）、合計約40,000セットが寄贈されます。

人工呼吸器の生産支援開始
ソニーグローバルマニュファクチャリング&オペレーションズ株式会社において、人工呼吸器の生産支援を行います。アコマ医科工業株式会社と提携し、同社が開発・設計した人工呼吸器の生産を受託します。7月より量産を開始し、9月中に500台を生産する計画です。この人工呼吸器の生産支援は日本政府の呼びかけに対応するものであり、今後も状況に応じて、他の人工呼吸器メーカーからの生産受託の可能性を検討していきます。
