富士通、新型コロナウイルス感染症対策支援に向け、知的財産権を無償開放

東京, 2020年05月12日 - (JCN Newswire) - 当社は、新型コロナウイルス感染症の感染拡大によって生じる社会課題の解決に向け、様々な取り組みを推進しています。

その取り組みの一環として、当社はこのたび、新型コロナウイルス感染症のまん延終結を目的とした行為に対し、保有する知的財産権の無償開放を推進する米国における活動である「Open COVID Pledge」の主旨に賛同し、そのような行為に対して当社が保有する特許権・実用新案権・意匠権について、一定期間、権利行使を行わず、一切の対価や補償を求めないことを宣言しました。また、日本においての同様の取り組みである「知的財産に関する新型コロナウイルス感染症対策支援宣言」にも賛同し、同様の宣言をしました。

当社はこれらの宣言を行い、当社が保有する新薬開発の支援や患者の見守りなどに関する知的財産権約4万件を無償で開放し、世界中の企業や研究機関による業界の垣根を超えた活用を促進することで、新型コロナウイルス感染症のまん延の早期終結に貢献していきます。
