TOYOTA、新型車GRヤリスのラインアップを発表
1.5L直列3気筒エンジンにDirect Shift-CVTを搭載した「RS」を設定
豊田, 2020年06月02日 - (JCN Newswire) - TOYOTAは、日本国内で販売する新型車GRヤリスの全ラインアップを発表しました。既にWeb予約の受付＊1を開始したGRヤリスは、現在、日本と欧州で約6,000台の先行予約をいただいています。日本国内では「RZ」に加え、研ぎ澄まされた走りを気軽に楽しめる「RS」、競技ベース用の「RC」を設定し、2020年9月頃の発売を予定しています。
GRヤリスは、TOYOTA GAZOO Racing WRT（World Rally Team）に学んだ「WRCで競争力あるクルマづくり」や開発初期からの社外プロドライバーによる評価によって、世界のあらゆる道でも思い通りに操れ、「誰もが安心して意のままに運転できる」クルマとして誕生しました。
具体的には、アッパーボディにアルミ素材のエンジンフード、バックドア、ドアパネルに加え、形状自由度の高いSMC＊2工法で成形されたCFRP＊3素材のルーフパネルを採用。軽量化を図りながら優れた空力性能を示す強固な3ドアタイプのキャビンとしています。
さらに、前後のサスペンションセッティングの最適化を行うなど、WRCを通じてお客様が普段走っている世界の様々な道を知り、人とクルマを鍛える「もっといいクルマづくり」で蓄積してきた知見やノウハウを注いだオリジナルモデルになります。
なお、生産については、数々のスポーツモデルを造り込んできた元町工場に専用ラインの“GR FACTORY”を新設し、「匠」の技能を有する従業員が組み立て準備を進めています。
