産総研と日立、移動体データ形式「MF-JSON形式」が地理空間情報の国際標準として採択

移動体データの流通を円滑化し、混雑緩和や災害時の効率的な避難誘導に貢献

東京, 2020年06月02日 - (JCN Newswire) - 国立研究開発法人産業技術総合研究所(理事長:石村和彦／以下、産総研)人工知能研究センター(研究センター長:辻井潤一)と株式会社日立製作所(執行役社長兼CEO東原敏昭／以下、日立)は、人や自動車などの移動体(Moving Features)の位置情報の時間変化を表すOGC *1 Moving Features Encoding*2を拡張した新たな移動体データ形式「Moving Features Encoding Extension - JSON(MF-JSON形式) *3」を、地理空間情報の国際標準化団体Open Geospatial Consortium(OGC)に共同で提案し、国際標準仕様として採択されました。

自動運転や防災、公衆衛生対策などでは、人や自動車などの移動データを流通・共有することの重要性が広く認められているものの、統一的なデータ形式がなかったため、異なるシステム間での円滑なデータ連携を図る方法が求められていました。

これまで産総研と日立は、移動体の位置情報の流通・利活用を促進するための標準化活動をOGCにおいて推進してきました。今回、既存のOGCデータ交換形式の問題点を改善し、より簡潔に記述できウェブ環境で利用しやすいデータ形式「JSON*4」を用いたMF-JSON形式を提案し、OGCの国際標準仕様として2020年2月に採択され、6月に公開されました。本MF-JSON形式により、GPSからの人流データ(点形状)や、道路交通渋滞情報(線形状)、洪水浸水区域の拡大(面形状)、自動車の走行 (立体形状)などの動的な地理空間情報が記述することができます。多様な移動体情報をより高精度に共有できるため、さまざまな業界における人やモノの移動データの普及や利活用拡大が期待されます。
