三菱電機、パワーデバイス製作所「新製造拠点」開設のお知らせ
世界的な省エネや環境保護志向によるパワーデバイス製品の需要拡大に対応
東京, 2020年06月11日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱電機株式会社は、シャープ株式会社から同社の福山事業所（広島県福山市）の一部の土地と建屋などを取得し、当社のパワー半導体製品の製造を担当するパワーデバイス製作所の新たな製造拠点（ウエハプロセス工程）を開設しますのでお知らせします。
低炭素社会の実現に向けて、世界的な省エネや環境保護志向の高まりに加え、各国における自動車の電動化政策により、電力を効率よく制御するパワー半導体製品の需要が増加しています。
この需要の増加に対応するために、当社は新たな製造拠点設置の検討を進めてきましたが、今般、シャープ株式会社から同社の福山事業所の一部の土地と建屋を取得することについて、合意しました。これにより、生産能力を拡大し、パワーデバイス事業のさらなる拡大を目指します。
