東京, 2020年07月17日 - (JCN Newswire) - NECは2020年2月、株式会社NTTドコモ(以下ドコモ)、SOMPOホールディングス株式会社(以下SOMPOHD)、SOMPOケア株式会社(以下SOMPOケア)と共同で、介護施設における課題解決に向け、介護付きホームである「SOMPOケアラヴィーレ舟入(広島県広島市)」にて第5世代移動通信方式(以下、5G)の実証試験(以下、本試験)を、「介護施設の食堂における入居者の特定と禁食(アレルギー)チェック、および食事時の摂取量記録」というテーマにて実施しました。

近年、超高齢社会が進む中で介護人材の需給ギャップと、それによる人手不足が社会課題となっています。こうした状況を踏まえ、介護職員が携わる業務内容および所要時間を調査したところ、食事介助に多くの時間が割かれていることが分かりました。そこで本試験では5Gの活用により「顔認証による来訪者特定」「アラートによる禁食チェック」「食事前後の配膳トレー撮影による摂取量管理の自動化」を実施し、介護職員のピーク時の業務効率化に貢献できることを実証しました(試験内容は別紙参照)。今後、本結果をもとに介護施設への導入を目指して検討を行います。

本試験は、株式会社NTTドコモが実施主体となり総務省から請け負った令和元年度5G総合実証試験「屋外環境において複数基地局、複数端末の環境下で、平均4-8Gbpsの超高速通信を可能とする第5世代移動通信システムの技術的条件等に関する調査検討」として実施しました。
