富士通研究所、ミリ波帯ローカル5Gシステムに対応した無線基地局の自動配置計算を高速化

従来比、最大で10倍の高速計算を実現し、企業のDXを加速

東京, 2020年07月22日 - (JCN Newswire) - 株式会社富士通研究所（注1）（以下、富士通研究所）は、ローカル5Gシステムに割り当てられている28GHzのミリ波帯に対応した無線基地局を自動配置するための高速計算技術を新たに開発しました。

ローカル5Gは、様々な企業におけるDX（デジタルトランスフォーメーション）を支えるインフラとして期待されていますが、その真価を発揮するには、現場に適した無線基地局の配置が重要となります。ミリ波帯は、広い帯域を持つ一方で、直進性が強いことから障害物により遮蔽を受けやすいため扱いが難しく、無線基地局の配置決定には無線の専門家による設計と、多大な現地調整作業が必要です。

今回、ミリ波帯のローカル5Gシステムに対応した無線基地局自動配置の計算を、送信電力やビームフォーミング（注2）などのパラメータ調整を含めて最適化し、従来手法と比較して5倍から最大で10倍の速度で実行できる高速計算アルゴリズムを開発しました。これにより、無線の専門家でなくても、ローカル5Gシステムの無線基地局設計が容易に実施可能となるため、様々な企業のお客様現場における、さらなるDXの加速に貢献します。
