配送ロボット企業PUDUテクノロジーはＢ＋ラウンドで1億元を調達　セコイア・キャピタル・チャイナファンドがリードインベスター

SHENZHEN, CHINA, 2020年08月26日 - (JCN Newswire) - 室内配送ロボット企業であるPUDUテクノロジーは8月19日に、Ｂ＋ラウンドで1億元を調達したことが明らかになった。このラウンドではセコイア・キャピタル・チャイナファンドがリードインベスターを務め、Meituan、長盈鑫投資、QC Capital、程鉑瀚基金などの投資家はフォローオンで出資した。これはわずか二か月のうちの二回目の融資で、今年7月1日にMeituanが独占的に出資したＢラウンド（1億元以上を調達）に続くものだった。



今回のリードインベスターを務めるセコイア・キャピタル・チャイナファンドの出資者である郭山汕氏は次のように述べた。「ロボットは新型の労働力で、我々が注目し続ける重要な分野です。サービス型ロボットの分野において、既に実績を深く積み上げてきたPUDUテクノロジーは、飲食業界に続き、もっと多くの業界に進出しようとしています。この新型の労働力への需要は増え続けており、近い将来に、サービス型ロボットは様々な業界で活躍するようになるだろうと信じています。」

PUDUテクノロジーは配送用ロボット分野における代表的な企業で、2016年設立されて以来、ずっと高度な成長スピードで発展している。製品も世界20か国以上に広がっている。同社のＣＥＯ張濤氏によると、今回調達した資金は主として、飲食業界におけるロボット市場の拡大と、他の業界や場面におけるロボット業務の展開に使われる。
