三菱電機、第5世代移動通信システム基地局向け「100Gbps EML CAN」サンプル提供開始

5Gの高速大容量化および光トランシーバーの低消費電力化と生産性向上に貢献

東京, 2020年09月03日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱電機株式会社は、第5世代移動通信システム（以下、5G）基地局ネットワークの光ファイバー通信で使用される光通信用デバイスの新製品として、「100Gbps※1 EML※2 CAN※3」のサンプル提供を10月1日に開始します。5Gの高速大容量化および光トランシーバー※4の低消費電力化と生産性向上に貢献します。

新製品の特長

1. 伝送速度100Gbpsの実現により、5Gの高速大容量化に貢献
- EML素子とパッケージの広帯域化、およびPAM4変調方式※5の採用により、EML素子を搭載したTO-56CAN※6パッケージ製品として業界初※7の伝送速度100Gbpsを実現
- 5Gの高速大容量化に貢献

2. 消費電力を約60%低減し、光トランシーバーの低消費電力化に貢献
- 熱電変換素子※8の小型化により、－40度～＋95度の広い温度範囲での動作保証と従来比約60%の消費電力低減※9を実現。光トランシーバーの低消費電力化に貢献

3. 光トランシーバーの生産性向上に貢献
- 業界標準のTO-56CANパッケージの採用により、従来製品と外形寸法の互換性を確保。光トランシーバーを構成する一芯双方向光モジュール※10の組み立てが容易で、生産性向上に貢献
