NEDOと日立など、ポーランド最大規模のハイブリッド蓄電池システムを設置、本格的な実証運転を開始

風力発電に対応し、系統の安定化と再生可能エネルギーの導入拡大を後押し

東京, 2020年10月02日 - (JCN Newswire) - NEDOは、このたび、委託先である(株)日立製作所、昭和電工マテリアルズ(株)、(株)三井住友銀行と推進する、ポーランドにおける再生可能エネルギー導入拡大に向けたスマートグリッド実証事業において、ポーランド北部グダニスクのビストラ風力発電所に、ハイブリッド蓄電池システム(BESS)を設置し、6月に試行運転を開始、9月25日から、本格的な実証運転を開始しました。

本実証事業は、日本の系統安定化技術と蓄電技術を活用し、電力系統の安定運用を実現しつつ、送配電線設備投資を抑制しながら再生可能エネルギーの導入拡大を後押しすることを目的とし、2019年10月に稼働させた、系統安定化システム(SPS)に続き、ポーランド気候省と共同で取り組みを進めています。

今回導入したハイブリッドBESSは、高出力のリチウムイオン電池と大容量の鉛蓄電池を組み合わせることにより、高性能と低コストを両立させたポーランド最大規模の蓄電池システムです。

実証運転により、風力発電の短期的な変動を緩和する機能や、需給バランスを調整するために必要な予備力を提供する機能など、その有効性を検証します。
