TOYOTA、新型MIRAIを発売

お客様に「本当に欲しい」と思って頂けるプレミアムカーをFCVで実現

豊田, 2020年12月09日 - (JCN Newswire) - TOYOTAは、FCV（燃料電池自動車）「MIRAI」をフルモデルチェンジし、12月9日よりトヨタ車両販売店を通じて発売しました。

多様なエネルギーから製造可能で地球環境・エネルギーセキュリティに貢献できる水素を燃料とするFCVは、ゼロエミッションでありながら短い燃料充填時間で長い航続距離を可能とする、「究極のエコカー」であり、2014年に販売を開始した初代モデルは、世界に先駆け量産を開始した革新的なFCVです。

一方、導入初期においては供給能力に制約があり、またお客様からは乗車定員やさらに長い航続距離などの点でご要望も頂いてきました。

こうした中、新型についてはFCVであることは前提としながらも、「お客様が一目ご覧になった時、運転されている最中、更には乗り終わった後、それぞれの瞬間において、お客様に『このクルマはいい、本当に欲しい』と思って頂ける、未来のプレミアムカーをご提供すること」を目標に定めました。

なお、社会の低炭素・脱炭素化に向け水素利用が様々な形で進んでいる中、トヨタは小型高効率で生産性を追求した新型のFCシステムを、トラック・バスなど社会を支えるモビリティにも活用し、水素利用の拡大に貢献していく計画です。

新型MIRAIは、将来の水素社会の実現に向けた、新たな出発点となるクルマです。
