NEC、気候変動や水管理に関する先進的な取り組みによりCDPから最高評価「Aリスト」企業に2年連続選定

東京, 2020年12月09日 - (JCN Newswire) - NECは、国際的な非営利組織のCDP(注1)から、気候変動および水管理に対する取り組みとその情報開示が評価され、気候変動およびウォーター(水管理)の2部門において、最高評価である「Aリスト」企業に2年連続で選定されました。

NECは、2017年に「2050年に向けた気候変動対策指針」(注2)を発表し、自社の事業活動からのCO2排出量を2050年までに実質ゼロにする事を目指しています。2018年には科学的に根拠ある水準の目標(SBT：Science Based Target)の認定(注3)を受け、再生可能エネルギーの活用拡大や、サプライチェーン全体でのCO2排出量削減に取り組んでいます。また、ICT技術を活用し、お客様との連携で気候変動の緩和や適応に貢献しています。

さらに、今後増加すると考えられる水リスクに対しては、各事業拠点での水使用量を削減するとともに、AIやIoTを活用した世界各地の災害対策を支援しています。
