エーザイ、川島工園に第5製剤棟が竣工抗がん剤「レンビマ(R)」製剤の自社生産機能を強化

東京, 2020年12月18日 - (JCN Newswire) - エーザイ株式会社（本社：東京都、代表執行役 CEO：内藤晴夫）は、このたび、岐阜県の川島工園内で建設中であった第 5 製剤棟が竣工したことをお知らせします。

第5製剤棟は、抗がん剤製剤の専用施設（総床面積約 4,500m2）です。本施設では、高活性物質である抗がん剤を取り扱うことから、薬物の交差汚染防止をはじめ、作業者への暴露防止など、高活性物質の様々な「封じ込め」対策を行い、より安全に製造が可能となるデザインになっています。本施設においては、全世界で需要が拡大している自社創製の抗がん剤「レンビマ(R)」の製造を 2021 年度より行う予定です。また、将来的に他の抗がん剤の製造設備の導入が可能なスペースも有しています。なお、第 5製剤棟建設に伴う総投資額は約 50 億円です。

川島工園は、1966 年に開所した当社のグローバルな製造（製剤）拠点であり、また、デジタル技術や新技術の活用などの新たな取り組みを行う、当社のグローバル生産活動におけるロールモデル工場の役割も担っています。今回の第 5 製剤棟の竣工を機に、国内での高品質な医薬品の安定供給体制をより拡充させるとともに、日本および世界の患者様とそのご家族のベネフィット向上により一層貢献してまいります。
