NEC、スイスの大手金融ソフトウェア企業Avaloq社の買収を完了

東京, 2020年12月23日 - (JCN Newswire) - NECは、スイスの大手金融ソフトウェア企業であるAvaloq Group AG (以下「Avaloq社」)の買収(注)を完了しました。

Avaloq社は金融機関向けソフトウェア事業をグローバルに展開し、金融資産管理向けソフトウェアでは欧州・アジア太平洋地域でトップクラスのシェアを持ちます。このAvaloq社の金融資産管理における優位性や実績とNECの強みであるAI、ブロックチェーン、生体認証などの最先端技術によるシナジーを発揮することで、NECはデジタルファイナンスにおけるSaaS型のビジネスのグローバル展開を図ります。

経済・社会のデジタル化が進展する中、とりわけ行政と金融の間での連携が加速することが期待されており、デジタルガバメントとデジタルファイナンスの領域は安全・安心・公平・効率な社会の形成に向けて重要な役割を担うと考えられています。

こうした中、NECでは2018年以降、英国のNorthgate Pubic Services社、デンマークのKMD社を買収しており、今回のAvaloq社の買収によりデジタルガバメントとデジタルファイナンスの両輪でグローバル事業を展開するための事業基盤を確保しました。今後、この3社を中核にしながら、NECはデジタルガバメントとデジタルファイナンスのソフトウェア事業において、グローバルトップポジションを目指します。
