Northgate Public Serviceが警察向けソフトウェア企業英Charter Systems社を買収

東京, 2021年01月05日 - (JCN Newswire) - NECの子会社で英国のITサービス企業であるNorthgate Public Services (以下 NPS、注1)は、警察向けソフトウェア企業Charter Systems(注2)を買収しました。

Charter Systemsは英国を中心に警察向け機密情報管理ソフトウェアを提供しており、英国内で60%以上のトップシェアを有し、近年はカナダでも事業を拡大しています。他方、NPSも英国の警察市場において、50%以上のシェアを持つ犯罪事案管理プラットフォーム「CONNECT」を展開しており、今回の買収を通じて警察向けソフトウェアのラインアップを拡充し、顧客基盤のさらなる強化・拡大を図ります。

NPSは引き続き警察向けを含むデジタルガバメント領域でソフトウェアを活用したSaaS型ビジネスを展開し、行政のデジタル化の推進に貢献していきます。

NECはNPSはじめ欧州における買収会社を中核にして、デジタルガバメントとデジタルファイナンスのソフトウェア事業において、グローバルトップポジションを目指します。
