新たに勝田範彦をドライバーに迎え上位を狙う

豊田, 2021年01月21日 - (JCN Newswire) - TOYOTA GAZOO Racing（以下、TGR）は、GRヤリス2台体制で、2021年JAF全日本ラリー選手権のトップクラス(以下、JN1)に参戦します。新たに勝田範彦をドライバーに迎え上位を狙います。

TGRは、2015年からJAF全日本ラリー選手権への参戦を開始し、モータースポーツの厳しい環境において「人を鍛え、クルマを鍛える」ことを目的に活動を続けてきました。2019年には眞貝知志・安藤裕一組が駆るヴィッツGRMNでJN２クラス年間優勝を獲得しています。

2021年参戦車両のGRヤリスは、FIA世界ラリー選手権（WRC）で得た技術や技能を織り込み、世界のあらゆる道でも思い通りに操れ、誰もが安心して意のままに運転できるクルマとして誕生しました。｢モータースポーツ用の車両を市販化する｣という逆転の発想で開発した、トヨタ自動車初となるモデルです。

チームに加わる勝田範彦は、JAF全日本ラリー選手権で８度チャンピオンに輝いた実績をもつトップドライバーです。GRヤリスのポテンシャルを十分に引き出し、チームを勝利に導くことが出来るドライバーとして、眞貝知志とともに２台体制で戦います。2021年シーズンも、ドライバー、コドライバー、メカニック、エンジニアが一丸となって挑みます。
