NEC、全国初の4.7GHz帯スタンドアローン構成のローカル5G無線局免許を取得

東京, 2021年02月09日 - (JCN Newswire) - NECは、全国初となる拡張周波数帯の4.7GHz帯(4.6-4.9GHz)におけるスタンドアローン(SA)構成のローカル5G無線局免許を、2月9日に取得しました。

総務省は、昨年12月18日に、ローカル5Gの周波数帯を拡張する制度を整備し、従来の28.2-28.3GHzに加えて4.6-4.9GHzおよび28.3-29.1GHz無線局の免許申請受付を開始しました。

これを受けてNECは、本社ビル(東京都港区)内の「NEC Future Creation Hub」(注1)および玉川事業場(神奈川県川崎市)内の「ローカル5Gラボ」(注2)における無線局について、総務省関東総合通信局に免許申請を行い、全国初の免許を取得しました。

今回、取得した免許を活用し、自社設備内にSA構成のローカル5Gネットワークを構築し、ローカル5G関連サービスのさらなる高度化への取り組みや、ローカル5Gを実際に体感できるデモの実施、顧客企業との共創活動を加速し、ローカル5Gの普及及びイノベーションを創出していきます。

なお顧客企業、自治体向けには、2020年11月からローカル5Gをサービス型で提供開始しており(注3)、製造、建設、流通、交通、公共といった様々な分野のパートナー企業・団体との共創を進め、顧客企業のDX推進に貢献しています。
