富士通、9大学2研究所連合による共同運用データプラットフォームが稼働開始

Society 5.0実現に向けたデータ利活用基盤として全国の大学や研究機関が活用

東京, 2021年03月09日 - (JCN Newswire) - 当社は、9大学と2研究所（注1）が共同運用する、Society 5.0（注2）が目指すデータ集約社会を実現するための新たな基盤である、データ活用社会創成プラットフォーム（以下、本プラットフォーム）を構築しました。本プラットフォームは、2021年3月9日より稼働開始します。

本プラットフォームは、国立大学法人東京大学柏IIキャンパス総合研究棟に2021年3月に設置され、大学共同利用機関法人情報・システム研究機構国立情報学研究所（以下、NII）が運用する学術情報ネットワーク「SINET（注3）」と連携し、全国の大学や研究機関などへ幅広く、計算資源およびデータ収集・蓄積・解析機能を提供します。そのため、本プラットフォームは、最新CPUを搭載した「FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY CX2550（以下、PRIMERGY CX2550）」の次期モデル368台とハイエンドGPU（注4）を搭載した「FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY GX2570（以下、PRIMERGY GX2570）」の次期モデル40台、合計27ペタバイトのストレージシステムなどで構成され、高速計算処理や大容量データの利活用を実現します。

当社は、本プラットフォームの提供を通じて、全国の大学・研究機関における、データを活用した最先端の研究を強力に支援していきます。
