JAL・NECなど、鹿児島空港・霧島市内にて「顔認証を活用したおもてなしサービス実証実験」を開始

地域活性化や新たな旅行体験の実現に向けて共創します

東京, 2021年03月16日 - (JCN Newswire) - 日本航空株式会社(本社：東京都品川区、代表取締役社長：赤坂祐二、以下「JAL」)、日本電気株式会社(本社：東京都港区、代表取締役執行役員社長兼 CEO：新野隆、以下「NEC」)、霧島市(市長：中重真一)、公益社団法人霧島市観光協会(会長：徳重克彦、以下「霧島市観光協会」)は、鹿児島空港および霧島市内にて「顔認証を活用したおもてなしサービス実証実験」を3月24日から4月21日まで実施します。

JALとNECはデジタル技術を活用したニューノーマル時代の安全で安心な旅の実現に向けて協業しており(*1)、今回は霧島市、霧島市観光協会と共に地域活性化や新たな旅行体験の可能性を検証します。

新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響下において、移動に伴う安全・安心が求められるなか、本実験では顔認証を用いて、スムーズなラウンジ入室や、新感覚のスタンプラリーによる新たな旅行体験を実現します。本実験では、NECの生体認証「Bio-IDiom」の中核技術であり、世界No.1 (*2)の認証精度を誇る顔認証技術を用いて、生体認証データを一つの共通IDとして利用(*3)しています。また、マスクを着用したままでも認証できる顔認証を導入しており、お客さまはマスクを着用したままサービスをご利用いただけます。
