三菱重工環境・化学エンジニアリング、中国・湖北省孝感市としては初の一般廃棄物焼却発電プラントに焼却炉を供給

MHIEC、環境配慮型の都市づくりに貢献

東京, 2021年04月27日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱重工グループの三菱重工環境・化学エンジニアリング株式会社（MHIEC、社長：菱沼隆之、本社：横浜市西区）は、中国・湖北省孝感市に建設された大型の一般廃棄物焼却発電プラントに、最新鋭のストーカ式焼却炉（注）2基を納入しました。同施設は、1日約1,500tの一般廃棄物処理能力を有するとともに、焼却する際の余熱を利用して発電することが可能です。孝感市としては初の一般廃棄物焼却発電プラントとして2021年1月から商業運転を開始後、重要な環境インフラ設備の一つとして同市の生活基盤を担っています。

計300件以上の廃棄物処理プラントを国内外に納入するなど、業界トップクラスの実績を有するMHIECは、1980年代から現在までの間、計50基以上の焼却炉を中国に納入してきました。今回納入した最新鋭の焼却炉は、燃焼効率を向上させることで、水分の多い廃棄物でも安定的に処理することができます。今後もMHIECが長年培ってきた環境装置分野の技術開発力を生かし、同国における環境配慮型の都市づくりに貢献していきます。

MHIECは、エネルギーの有効活用によって環境負荷低減に貢献する一般廃棄物焼却発電プラントなどの建設・運営を通じて、SDGs（持続可能な開発目標）達成やグローバルな環境問題解決に引き続き取り組んでいきます。
