新たな協業で物流業界が抱える課題解決に取り組み

豊田, 2021年04月27日 - (JCN Newswire) - イオン株式会社の物流機能子会社であるイオングローバルSCM株式会社（以下、イオングローバルSCM、本社千葉県千葉市、代表取締役社長野澤知広）とトヨタ自動車株式会社（以下、トヨタ、本社愛知県豊田市、代表取締役社長豊田章男）は、日本が抱える大きな社会課題の一つである物流領域において、新たな取り組みについて検討を進めていくことで合意しました。

イオングローバルSCMが培った小売業の物流ノウハウと、トヨタのTPS（Toyota Production System トヨタ生産方式）ノウハウ、コネクティッド・電動化技術を組み合わせることで、物流業界が抱える人手不足、カーボンニュートラルといった共通課題を解決するとともに、サプライチェーン全体を効率化する仕組みや、コネクティッドシステムを構築することで人々の暮らしを支え、物流の未来を創造することに取り組んでまいります。

両社はこの取り組みを、トヨタがいすゞ自動車株式会社、日野自動車株式会社と公表したCASE対応を加速させるプロジェクト（Commercial Japan Partnership）としても位置付け、共に豊かな社会づくりに向けた協業を進めてまいります。

今後、協業内容を深めるとともに志を同じくする新たなパートナーとの連携についてもオープンに検討していきます。
