三菱重工業、回転翼哨戒機（能力向上型）の飛行試験を開始

東京, 2021年05月12日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱重工業は本日、回転翼哨戒機（能力向上型）の試作機の飛行試験を開始しました。

本日の試験では、当社のテストパイロットが試作機を操縦し、県営名古屋空港（愛知県西春日井郡豊山町）において約30分間のホバリングを行った後、無事同空港へ着陸しました。

この回転翼哨戒機（能力向上型）は、防衛装備庁との契約に基づき、2015年より同空港に隣接する名古屋航空宇宙システム製作所小牧南工場において当社が開発に携わっているもので、2001年8月に初飛行した海上自衛隊向け回転翼哨戒機「SH-60K」をベースに、搭載システムや飛行性能などの能力向上を図った最新鋭のヘリコプターです。今後、2021年度の防衛装備庁への納入に向け、引き続き飛行試験を実施する計画です。
