三菱重工、グリーンボンド発行を決定

2050年のカーボンニュートラル社会実現に向けたエナジートランジションを視野に入れ2回目のグリーンボンドを発行

東京, 2021年08月02日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱重工業は、国内公募形式のグリーンボンドを発行（以下、本発行）する予定であり、本日8月2日に、本発行に向けた社債の訂正発行登録書を関東財務局長に提出しました。当社は、2020年に重工業セクター初のグリーンボンドを発行し、本件は当社にとって2回目のグリーンボンド発行となるものです。

当社は、社会課題の解決に貢献し、中長期的に成長を続けていくために優先的に取り組むべきテーマとして「脱炭素社会に向けたエネルギー課題の解決」を含む5つの重要課題（マテリアリティ）を2020年に特定しました。

2021年度からの3ヵ年を計画年度とする「2021中期経営計画」では、同マテリアリティが反映され、発電及びその他分野において脱炭素化に貢献する製品・サービスを提供する「エナジートランジション（低環境負荷エネルギーへの転換）」を成長領域と定め、重点投資を行う計画を示しています。

当社はグリーンボンドの発行により、資金調達手段の多様化を進めるとともに、2050年のカーボンニュートラル社会実現に向け、当社グループが掲げるエナジートランジションの実現に取り組みます。
