Honda、日本での自動運転モビリティサービス事業実現に向け、技術実証を9月中に開始

2022年には栃木県宇都宮市・芳賀町で公道実証を実施

東京, 2021年09月08日 - (JCN Newswire) - Hondaは、GMクルーズホールディングスLLC（以下、クルーズ）、ゼネラルモーターズ（以下、GM）と共同で展開予定の日本での自動運転モビリティサービス事業に向け、自動運転技術に関する技術実証を、2021年9月中に開始します。

自動運転モビリティサービスの技術実証は、栃木県宇都宮市・芳賀町において実施します。まず、自動運転車両がより安全に走行するための準備として、地図作成車両を用いた高精度地図の作成を行います。高精度地図の準備が整い次第、自動運転車両「クルーズAV」による公道走行を通じて、⽇本の交通環境や関連法令などに合わせた自動運転技術を開発・検証します。

なお、技術実証においては、Hondaとクルーズが共同で開発作業に取り組むとともに、栃木県のHonda施設内に実証拠点を新設し、推進していきます。

将来的にはクルーズ、GM、Hondaの3社が共同開発している自動運転モビリティサービス事業専用車両である「クルーズ・オリジン」を活用した自動運転モビリティサービス事業の日本国内での展開を目指しており、その事業運営は、Hondaの日本におけるモビリティサービス事業運営子会社であるホンダモビリティソリューションズ株式会社が担う予定です。Hondaは、自動運転モビリティサービスを通じて、生活の可能性が拡がる喜びを提供し、「移動」と「暮らし」の新価値の創造を目指していきます。
